I am a firm believer that, "We are not human beings who have spiritual experiences, we are spiritual beings having a human experience." That being said, I feel it is important to treat the whole person, not just body parts and isolated issues. TCM takes into account all aspects of ones existence in this particular time/space. Body, mind and spirit. I have been involved in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), acupuncture, and massage for more than 15 years. I can empathize and understand your health issues since I have gone through serious illnesses myself. It was through those health issues that I became interested in the health field and more so in alternative medicine. Alternative medicine is a way to help you heal that may not be addressed in Western medicine. I have been lucky enough to study with some amazing practitioners who have shaped my practice to what it is today. I have taken 10 day and 3 day silent meditation retreats using Vipassana meditation. What a trip of the mind that was. I have also volunteered at the retreat center a few times after. A 4 day zen silent retreat at Great Plains Zen Center. I have participated in Constipation Therapy numerous times. I have studied shamanic practice, which originally led me to the healing arts. I also have completed Reiki levels 1 and 2.. I am a life long learner.
