About Mrs. Tuong-Van Dao

Tuong-Van Dao was born in Viet Nam. Since childhood, Van started to learn the concepts of Five Element, which was a common practice in Viet Nam at that time. She also learned how to use food as medicine and how to create a healthy and balanced meal based on what she had in the back yard. That’s also when Van learned how to do cupping and guasha. She obtained a B.S. Teaching Degree in French in 1997, and taught French for over four years. Van came to the United State in 2001, and completed the Certificate of HOLISTIC HEALTH CARE PRACTITIONER in 2003. Her journey with healing began. For 15 years, she has specialized in structural skeletal imbalance and holistic health. At the same time, she explored and researched many different modalities to combine in her treatment. In December 2018, she completed her training as MASTER OF ORIENTAL MEDICINE. She is now in progress to obtain her DOCTORAL OF ORIENTAL MEDICINE. To Van, Healing is an Arts, The Arts of combining Knowledge and Modalities to assist a person as a whole, on the healing progress. To do that, Van only treats one patient at a time. She says it allows her to pay full attention to those in front of her. In the Oriental Medicine point of view, each illness, discomfort and/or pain like headache, insomnia, constipation, neck and back pain.. are the way of our body presents to us that it's unwell. These signs and symptoms help Van define the pattern to treat. Van loves to create a unique treatment for each person at each session.
