About Mrs. Sayo Yamaguchi

Sayo Yamaguchi moved to Tucson recently and fell in love with the city and the people. She founded Blossom Acupuncture, PLLC with the hope of meeting and treating as many people as possible to help them feel better, more balanced, more grounded and in less pain (physically and mentally). She is dedicated to helping you achieve your optimal health by focusing on whole-patient wellness and treating the root cause of the problem. On top of general acupuncture services, Sayo specializes in pain management, anxiety/stress, and Women's Wellness (including menstruation concerns, infertility as well as postpartum and menopause-related issues). Sayo ends each treatment with a light (tuina) massage because she believes it reinforces the healing power of acupuncture. Sayo understands that we live in uncertain times, but she hopes acupuncture can improve your well-being. She uses a sliding scale to meet patients' financial needs and is happy to offer a free consultation over the phone or via email. More about Sayo: Born and raised outside Kyoto, Japan, Sayo was exposed to natural ways of healing the body from an early age. She first studied traditional Chinese medicine at Beijing University in 2003, ultimately completing her Master’s in Acupuncture at the New York College of Traditional Medicine. As a National Board Certified Acupuncturist, Sayo previously treated New York City patients with a wide range of issues, everything from pain management, stress, sleep, and beyond. She has also worked closely with many women who are trying to conceive, suffering painful menstruation, going through menopause, and so on. In addition to her education and experience in traditional methods, Sayo is also certified in Master Tung Acupuncture, which utilizes uncommon, distal needling points — also called "magic points” because they help to alleviate all sorts of different conditions. Sayo likes to get to know each patient and also to modify her needling style according to each individual’s needs and preferences. She also cherishes communication with patients and can speak English, Japanese, and Mandarin. An avid traveler, Sayo has visited over 40 counties, living everywhere from Taiwan and China to England and even Bali. At every stop, she seeks out acupuncture masters to further her craft.
