About Dr. Mark Bodzislaw

Mark Bodzislaw, DAOM, L.Ac., Dip.Ac. is a nationally board certified (NCCAOM®) acupuncturist licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia. He received his Masters of Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from the top-ranked Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine in Gainesville, FL. After receiving his master’s degree, he continued his education by completing his doctorate in Acupuncture & Oriental Medicine from Five Branches University in San Jose, CA. Born in the Midwest and raised primarily in central Florida, he received his initial Bachelor of Arts degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with concentrations in Political Science and Environmental Policy from the University of South Florida – St. Petersburg. Additionally, he concurrently completed his Bachelor of Health Sciences degree in conjunction with his MAOM from Dragon Rises COM. Dr. Bodzislaw has served in several leadership positions, including as Secretary, and later Vice-Chair, on the Dragon Rises College of Oriental Medicine Board of Governors; as well as the Membership Liaison for the Acupuncture Society of Virginia Board of Directors. Additionally, he has served with the American Society of Acupuncturists in the Nominating Committee and the Student Leadership Committee. His specialties and areas of interest include Sports Medicine Acupuncture (Dr. Whitfield Reaves), Balance Method Acupuncture (Dr. Sonia Tan), Battlefield Acupuncture (Dr. John Howard), Andrology, Immunology, Psycho/Emotional concerns, Fertility, and plant-based nutrition. Utilizing a host of traditional Chinese treatment modalities, including needle acupuncture, cupping, gua sha, and tui na, gives him the cutting edge to help you realize your full potential of health in your mind, body, and spirit. His warm and caring approach is holistic and individualized to your personal needs. Dr. Bodzislaw works as a licensed acupuncturist at Caring Acupuncture in Alexandria, VA and as a clinic supervisor at the Virginia University of Integrative Medicine in Tysons, VA.
